This Privacy Policy explains how HoZyne ("HoZyne," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Hoyro mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information from that provider (such as your name and email, subject to what you choose to share). If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we receive a relay email address rather than your real one.
Fitness and workout data. We collect the information you create in the App, such as workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest timers, training programs, notes, body measurements, and body-weight entries. This data is central to how the App works.
Apple Health (HealthKit) data. With your explicit permission, the App reads certain data from Apple Health (such as body weight and heart rate) to enhance your tracking, and writes your completed workouts back to Apple Health. You control this access in the App and in iOS Settings, and you can revoke it at any time. See Section 3 for how we handle Health data.
Creator and marketplace content. If you publish a training program or set up a creator profile, the content you choose to publish (such as program details and profile information) is collected and made available to other users as described in our Terms of Service.
Purchase information. When you subscribe to Hoyro Pro or buy the Founder product, the purchase is processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment-card details. We receive and store transaction information needed to verify and maintain your subscription status, such as a transaction identifier, product identifier, subscription status, expiration date, and an anonymous account token used to link the purchase to your account.
Referral information. The App generates a referral code associated with your account and may record whether your account was referred by another user.
Device and usage information. We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate the App, such as device type, operating-system version, app version, and diagnostic or error logs.
Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we process a device token so we can deliver reminders and updates. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account.
- Store and sync your workouts, programs, and progress across your sessions.
- Verify and manage your subscription and entitlements.
- Enable the program marketplace and creator features you choose to use.
- Send notifications you have enabled (such as workout reminders).
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the App.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. Apple Health (HealthKit) Data - Special Handling
We treat Apple Health data with particular care and in accordance with Apple's requirements:
- We access Health data only after you grant explicit permission, and only the data types needed for the App's features (for example, body weight and heart rate to read, and workouts to write).
- We do not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or any use-based data mining, and we do not sell it or disclose it to third parties for such purposes.
- Health data read from Apple Health is used to provide the App's functionality to you. It is not shared with other users.
- You can revoke the App's access to Apple Health at any time in iOS Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Health, or within the App's settings.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to host and operate the App on our behalf, including our cloud backend and database provider (Supabase) and infrastructure used to deliver notifications. These providers process data only to provide services to us and are bound by appropriate obligations.
- Apple and Google. Authentication and purchases are handled by Apple and/or Google. Your interactions with those services are also governed by their respective privacy policies.
- Other users (marketplace). Content you choose to publish - such as a public training program or creator profile - is visible to other users. Your private workout data is not shared in this way.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HoZyne, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If HoZyne is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will provide notice of any such change as required.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. We will delete or anonymize your personal information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, accounting, or legitimate business requirements. Some information may persist in backups for a limited period after deletion. Content you published and that has been shared with others may remain visible unless and until it is removed.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and correction. You can view and edit much of your information directly in the App.
- Account deletion. You can delete your account from within the App. Deleting your account removes your personal data associated with the account from our active systems, subject to the retention exceptions in Section 5. You can also request deletion by contacting us at alex@hozyne.com.
- Health permissions. You can grant or revoke Apple Health access at any time in iOS Settings.
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications in iOS Settings.
- Subscription management. You manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (see Section 8). To exercise any right, contact us at alex@hozyne.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children's Privacy
Hoyro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at alex@hozyne.com and we will take steps to delete it. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
8. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to know or access the personal information we hold about you, the right to request correction or deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at alex@hozyne.com. 9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
10. International Users
The App is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate, which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may reference or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
